Northern Automotive Alliance
Since 2004, the Northern Automotive Alliance (NAA) has represented the interests of the automotive sector in the north of England by providing a membership service combined with a project management delivery function. Other services offered range from strategic, business, and technical advice to the provision of training, funding application support and the recognition of achievement through its annual awards.
The network that the NAA has developed combined with its industry-specific expertise, allows it to skillfully support regional automotive companies, of all sizes.
The strength of the automotive sector in the North lies in its diversity. The NAA’s unique cluster, ranging from volume car manufacturers to truck and specialist vehicle manufacturers, paves the way for innovation, increased productivity, and endless opportunities.
This has never been more important than right now, with the shift to electrification and other zero-emission technologies. This will in turn offer the potential for significant supply chain opportunities that will require the adoption of digital technologies to enhance competitiveness and satisfy customer expectations.
The NAA strongly believes in partnership and collaboration, with both industry and public sector organisations, and it is proud to have long-standing partnerships with BEIS and DIT as well as universities, local councils and LEP’s. In addition, the NAA collaborates with relevant trade organisations such as the SMMT, Automotive Council, Make UK, and Enginuity.
