CW4.0, a newly ERDF funded project, supports manufacturing SMEs across Cheshire and Warrington to accelerate opportunities via digital tech

About this event

What’s Next? Post-pandemic, post-Brexit and at a time where climate change is continuing to stimulate major disruption across industries, we’ll ask manufacturers to consider what’s next for their businesses.

Whatever opportunity or challenge lies ahead (succession planning, bidding for investment, pivoting to enter new markets) industrial digital technology will help you to maximise these opportunities. Cheshire & Warrington 4.0 provides fully-funded, practical, expert support to help small and medium manufacturers do just that.

Agenda:

8.45 – 9.15 am: Welcome Breakfast and Networking

9.15 am – 9.35 am: Presentations from CW4.0 delivery partners.

Our delivery partners look at What’s Next from a different perspective –focusing on an emerging challenge, opportunity or technology which can support your business

• Northern Automotive Alliance – the opportunities of suppliers pivoting to support EV production

• Liverpool John Moores University –The skills agenda and how technology can support nearshoring

9.40 – 10.00 am: Panel discussion and Q&A

A moderated panel discussion featuring three manufacturing business leaders who have innovated/adopted digital technology by being part of the LCR4 projects. The panel debate will explore these case studies through questions that tackle their perceptions of digital adoption before getting involved (barriers etc), what they achieved, how they benefited from the support, and what they are doing next.

They will then be joined by representatives of the CW4 delivery team to take questions from the audience.
